Recently
I have been wondering why a person could have a cold attitude towards the word
of God, the Scriptures. I have noticed that we have this imaginary view about a
being who is God that we adore in our minds and exhibit certain solemnness when
we are in prayer. Well, that imaginary attitude should be directed towards the
word of God.
Our
attitude towards the instructions of God in the bible can transform our lives. The
word of God is a double edged sword; work and reward. Look at this scripture,
If
they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their
years in pleasures. Job 36:11
You
see that it is instruction then rewards follow the instruction! This is what we
should worship; this is what should be our God! John says in the beginning was
the word and the word was with God and the word was God! (1v1). the scripture I
just quoted is God. We have to worship the scriptures in the bible and treat
them as persons, as God. These words cannot lie.
There
is the word of God for every situation (health, money, obedient child, business
success etc.), you have to look for it and apply. The only thing that moves God
is his word and it is more important to Him that anything. Let’s treat the word
of God like a jackpot because it is sure and cannot lie.
