ACTIVE VISION
Vision comes from many sources, dreams, desire, work, prophecy etc. But Vision is not prophecy, neither can one replace the other.
Am talking about the purposeful intent that drives people to achieve their destiny.
Its clear that David is a straight forward person, he has only one thing in mind and that is to bring the ark home. That is how we are supposed to be.
Watch every new and thriving organization, the one thing about it that drives people to follow is the promise of vision. However, it soon dies when it settles into routine because the vision is non functional and men by nature don't live for routine. I think the opposite of vision is routine.
Similarly, a person without vision is a person without purpose. They are lazy people and have all the vices operating in their lives. Their minds are the devils workshop, its either gossiping or idleness or watching movie at all times, attending every funeral and party with expensive tastes for their vanity. They look for easy life and a shortcut to riches which they will soon discover is non existent or available with incurable diseases or shattered homes! Mercy!!
Humans by nature are not wired this way. The first man worked tirelessly in his garden without salary. Jesus said, ' my father worketh therefore I work'. But without vision the people cast off restraint - there is no limit to their monstrosities.
Its time we know that just as people will hastily abandon a sinking ship to safety so do people abandon an organization that settles into routine. Why? When there is no vision sin takes charge! All the backbiting and every sin starts showing their ugly faces.
Active vision is not in vision statements well framed and posted on Walls, it is not in the prophecies of yester years nor is it found in beautiful talks!
Active vision is in the 'running' and 'toiling' with God's mandate for your life. Whether rain or shine you are at it. Much or little is the same to you and even in your dreams at night you see it. You white idleness because it is the mother of poverty and the bane of gifted hands!
If this is your case then the world is for your taking.
