2 Samuel 6
1 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
David decided to go for the glory of God the way you and I want lift the glory in our generation. He saw that he needed people and that it was not a one man work. David used two principles here, first he selected and secondly he beefed up the numbers.
I think that we need our view adjusted for good. A lot of believers cannot think about the anointing without trying to do everything by themselves. Elijah was greatly anointed but I never saw him work with much people, he worked with two guys Gehazi and Elisha.
Today we establish teams only when we want to establish churches, even that we just want their services.
We have to understand that the the people who serve are different from the people been served. WE HAVE TO FOCUS RIGHT; FIRST LOOK AT YOUR SOURCE ( GOD ), THEN YOU, YOUR TEAM AND FINALLY THE AUDIENCE.
My bone of contention is that we focus on the first two levels ( God and Us) and forget the third level ( team ) and skip straight to the forth level, the audience.
In this sequel, we must notice that it was a member of the team ( Uzzah ) who made the carrying of the anointing or ark fail to reach its place. This implies that the individuals we work should be taken seriously, the anointing and other factors is not enough.
The devil has Always exploited the third level right out of Eden and it hard worked for him. My friend, the good intentions alone won't get you there! Satan exploited Eve against Adam and managed to get Adam out of the garden, David's Oracle ( Ahitophel ) was poached from him and almost got him killed and even Jesus lost his life and ministry because of Judas.
Satan might not get to you but can use the third level to engineer your fall.
What does this mean for you and me?
Lets pick only the less vulnerable ones, the ones the devil or your enemies cannot use against us. Why? These people are closer and know our secrets and habits and have access to our resources - it will be very easy for Ceaser to fall by the hands Brutus and his council.
Examine your associates well if you will make it, your success greatly depend on them.
A diamond is used to cut very hard objects, make sure your team is strong enough cut through anything.
