VISION BEARER
All of us are not the same, some people are held much more accountable than others. As I read the scripture I see this phrase 'David and his men', and it looks as if the rest of the 30,000 men don't matter. Now am meditating and wondering if what am seeing is TRUE then Eli and his two sons came to mind; these two rogues sins and God kills their father and them! I thought about Moses and he is annoyed by his people and sins and God denies him Canaan and let the people go.
Finally the thought thickened;
God sees the vision bearer more important than the followers and makes them more accountable.
If something goes wrong it is the fault of the vision bearer and so though the others count nevertheless their names are not mentioned.
God has therefore multiplied the blessings of the vision bearer while their punishment is far higher than the rest! DAVID and his men!
Now I want support from the new testament to back this revelation and these scriptures came to mind,
James 3
1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the GREATER condemnation.
Revelation 20
12 And I saw the dead, small and GREAT, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Do you see now? There is a class of people called 'great' and some called 'small', the great shall have great rewards and great punishments.
What are the implications?
It means if anything goes wrong with God's work he will blame me more;
I have to stop that attitude 'it was this person's fault' because I had all the authority to make changes:
If I sit down and let members destroy God's work I would blamed for it;
I have to stand firm and do the right thing.
But wait a minute, who are the vision bearers? They are the leaders in the society; the husband, choir leader, head pastor and associates, president and so on.
Where has God placed and made you the head? GOD DOESN'T SEE ANYBODY BUT YOU!
Your level has changed!
