Vision Carriers

You need people to help you fulfill your mission in life, no one can do it alone, not even Jesus

 Genesis 11:1-9

Nimrod is a character in the bible who surprises me a lot. He is the man who led the people to build the tower of Babel that drew God’s attention.  Whatever his intentions were, his vision was clear and he needed a solution. He wanted to build a house that got to heaven. Am sure he sat and thought about many things, ‘do I need money or machines?’ But he picked the right tool that almost worked for him.

Today there are a lot of people with big visions and destinies and they don’t know how to go about it. Every true destiny and vision of God is big and stunning. To the natural eyes it looks impossible or madness. But that’s the nature of God, he does big things. And since we are in his image we are supposed to do big things. Nimrod’s vision wasn’t from God, he got it out of anger, and it was his personal ambition. But he was wise to choose the right tool which almost worked had God not intervened and stopped his plans from coming to fruition.

In life there is a path you can take that can really make your vision a complete success no matter how big they are. Nimrod chose people as his main tool after considering several options. What tool are you choosing for support?

What everybody does
Whatever you want to do you need people to help you to do it. People help you in different ways, and anybody with a God given vision needs people no matter how different that vision is. A seller by the road needs people to purchase her things so that she can have the money to buy the land that he wants. A pastor needs people to help him start a church and sponsor him to complete his mission on earth. Everybody needs support from somebody. Jesus as big as he was, got disciples who would help him fulfill and continue with his vision. At some point in time He even employed seventy two more instead of the usual twelve.

What is it that people don’t have? Money, time, lands, know how etc. if somebody builds a house and tells you he did it alone, he is a liar. Telling you he built it alone imply he used his own money, however, he needed people to give him money for his services, he solicited people’s help though he paid them for their labor, bought building materials from people, sought permission to register land and build his house and other numerous process. Nobody can do it alone, you need somebody, catch the revelation here.

Different modes of support
Let’s look at different groups of people who did great works in the bible by the help of people. When you look at them you might think they are great because of their needs but their greatness came from their ability to solicit the services of people.

Solomon; he was the wisest man on earth. His wisdom could not carry mortar and gold and timber to build the house of God. People helped him to. His wisdom even didn’t exist if there were no people to listen to him. The gold that he had some were donations from other kings, those kings made him rich with his people. Of course he had revelation from God, but his revelation helped him to synchronize his vision with the help, it helped him to hook the people together to support him build his vision. As a matter of fact his message or revelation was towards the people. His first wisdom demonstration of the two sisters with the first child came by the help of the two ladies. Without them how could he have proven that he was what he was, a wise man and gifted of God.

Job; he was blessed of God, nobody helped him. But looking into his situation, he got help from the people. In the first place he was a rich man and the devil attacked him and robbed him of everything he had. The devil used elements like fire, etc, but he also used people to destroy Job’s family. Before he’d be blessed by God again it was people who intervened. The friends who’d annoyed him came for prayers and that was the turnaround for job. Wherever people are involved there was a turn around. God put some power in humans whether they are unbelievers or not. If he Job got things double, how did he get them? Was it not from people? This doesn’t mean you should worship people though some have done it and wounded themselves. Because curse is any man that put his trust in a man. You don’t go to people direct, you go to God first and then you continue your journey to the people. Only then would you be blessed.

Abraham; we are told he was a man who was driven by God from his home town to a blessed land so that God would help him. God was going to make him great and make his descendants like the stars in the sky. Those days there were few people on earth so that really was a big vision coupled with the fact that the savior would come from his line. Now this Abraham started his journey with some people, they stayed with him so that he had a big family, they gave him Isaac and Ishmael, they helped him to rescue lot from those bootlickers, they helped him to have Isaac and they saw to it that Isaac was safe before he Isaac could multiply his descendants.

There are different aspects of topics you have to be aware of if you want to know how God can help you vision become a reality by the help of people; you need to know how to please God, you need a vision, you need to know the kind of people you need in your life, you need to know the finances you would need and many others. Catch the vision, catch the revelation.

Further notes
Gen 11:1-9 (KJV)
1
And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2
And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3
And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.
4
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city, and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5
And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6
And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7
Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8
So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9
Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD." (Genesis 10:8-9)
