Many times we have let ourselves
to be drawn away from what we are doing. This has happened because one of our
expectations is not forthcoming. Every other thing is set but we are not able
to produce because that one thing is not available or that one condition or
circumstance is not happening. This is similar to having all the ingredients
available for cooking with the exception of one. This one is holding everything
down for you. It is our lust, our greatest desire. This has the capacity of
freezing our lives making us unproductive. There are two things involved here,
either you have what you are hoping for to complete your work or you don’t have
it at all. Sometimes when you have it, it becomes perfect and when you decide
to eliminate perfection you can achieve it anyway. You can cook your meal
without salt; you can also travel without your car.
When you don’t have it at all be aware that there are other options on
the table; choose the best option available to you and you will do fine.
There is the old African proverb that says‘the fly that refuses to leave the
coffin gets buried with it’. If you
don’t give up on that option you will end up blown away. If you don’t get
that product go for another one; if you don’t get admission to do the course
you wanted choose another one, if you won’t be allowed to come in the morning
choose the afternoon shift; if you wanted at two but you will get it at four,
improvise. There are people around us without the perfect conditions and yet
they have achieved a lot. We have often failed to achieve because we were
denied just one thing and we boycotted the whole project when every other thing
was available. There are handicapped people who have achieved so much for the
world while others too have more favorable conditions and did nothing. Whatever
level you are, you can produce.
Be in full force all the time
with this in mind that we get blown away because of our own lust. When you are
been blown away because one of your conditions is not been met, that is real
lust. If all of us decide to work when the condition is not perfect we will be
somewhere by now. Because what we wait for may not come, man has proposed but
God has also disposed. Like the eagle let us work with the storm.
