How to motivate yourself

Many a times we have sought our motivation from external sources. Attending programmes and hearing the word of   God or seeing people our age doing what we want to do. However, these things are not always available making our discipline on and off. This discipline is the fire we use to cook our food; the fire or zeal with which we use to travel long miles of achievement.

But everything is in you; you don’t have to look for fire from the outside. The Spirit of God alone is enough fire. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit settled on peoples’ heads as fire and they turned the world upside down. He is fire because, he shows you what you want to do and let you see through your spiritual senses the full impact of that project, so you are always on fire. You are motivated and you keep on working with all the discipline possible to man. The fire is already in you.

Stay in the Lord, prayer is what will keep you hot. As you pray he will reveal things to your spirit and that is how you will be zealous every day. When the Lord starts with you, he uses external motivation but once he has you he uses the internal motivation which is more powerful and consistent than the external motivation. Use the fire inside you to cook your divine destiny!
