There is a purpose in using two different words to denote the demon's recognition of the Divine Master and of the human agent, though it is not easy to convey the difference in a translation. It is the difference between an instinctive perception or recognition of a supreme power and THE MORE INTIMATE KNOWLEDGE OF A HUMAN AGENT. A divine mystery would invest Jesus, which the demon would feel, though he could not penetrate it. HIS KNOWLEDGE OF A MAN WOULD BE GREATER, IN HIS OWN ESTIMATION AT LEAST. The difference may be given roughly, thus: "Jesus I recognize, and Paul I am acquainted with." xxxxxxxx
Demons know believers, they know pretenders, they know those who can cast them out.
I have heard of some pastors who tried to cast out demon and the evil spirit exposed them of their sin.
A friend told me of how she tried to expel an evil spirit but failed and she with her partner had to hold the one under the influence taking that person to another pastor at a long distance for help in the exorcism. The insults the two received from the demons while taking the journey so discouraged them and made them want to cry. I could not keep myself from laughter when she told me this as I remembered my first experience of one that took me more than an hour (when I hadn't eaten and was weak while the manifestations happened when I was not prepared for such and experience).
Before I deal with these I have had some experience over the years and by God's grace I can spot an evil spirit by discernment and even identify them by name, know how many are there and what they have been doing and even see some of them with my spirit as I cast them out and even to recognize that they are still there though they pretend to have left. Even the anointing to call them into manifestation and drive them out and suspend their activities or to force them to reveal themselves and show what they are doing and how they managed to get there (essential bcs people blame prophets of always saying "witch, witch"; people believe this more, though I might know I left the prophecy come out from the one under influence it is not always that this works).
A lot of things come to play, there is a general expelling, but I believe mine is a gift. When by the Holy Spirit I can mention names, and go deeper than most people, where even the tongues that the person speaks I can know that it is true or false.
The name of Jesus is powerful and every MoG can use it, but there is some that have more authority, these men can spot easily by one look even without manifestation that the thing is there when other pastors didn't have a whiff of the possibility of something like that been there.
And so others have been sick and had suffered in the hands of some MoGs because their care takers don't have this gift.
