Most of the troubles I caused in my life and hurt against my loved ones wasn't intentional. I wanted the best for us, I was trying protect us and working in the interest of us all. But then I hurt someone because I used a means which wasn't right. Manipulation was one of them.
It happens in marriage where a godly wife deliberately gets angry to get her husband to do the right thing. He did it for you but you hurt him to achieve it. Your husband doesn't want to serve the God you believe in because you are a bad example.
Yes the greatest damage I caused myself was when I used my own strength and wisdom when I should have left it for God to do it.
In my flesh and canal ways is sin, there is no good thing in it. With God the end doesn't justify the means and so Moses gave Israel water but used his staff wrongly and he missed the promised land.
Yield to God, give him time to change that person. If God won't do it then you don't need it.
Apostle Paul Said,
For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not.
Romans 7:18
