Reading the old testament, I see Elijah been fed constantly by strange people, not even relatives. God met ALL his needs. God is interested in all my needs and yours too.
And my God will give you all you have need of from the wealth of his glory in Christ Jesus.
-Philippians 4:19
So he went and did as the Lord said, living by the stream Cherith, east of Jordan. And the ravens took him bread in the morning and meat in the evening; and the water of the stream was his drink.
-1 Kings 17:5-6
But the problem is WHO is God sending that need through? And HOW is God meeting that need? Your fees, rent, hospital bills, credit, pocket money etc have been taken care of by God.
Elijah was once fed by ravines, imagine if he didn't hear clearly and go to the brook to be fed? First locate the brooks, then the ravines; God's customized lifestyle for you and then that helper (s).
So when there is so much UNFULFILLED NEEDS, we have to know we are missing God. IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT WHEN WE SAY NOTHING IS WORKING.
When we miss the person God is sending our help through and how he is sending it there is trouble.
Except we are fasting, God has provided the next meal already. Somebody, God is asking you to work with some people (as in visiting the brook) but you don't hear and so you are stranded. God is asking some people to help you but you are too big to go to them for help.
You have roamed for food and have not been fed because you have missed God's place of help for you.
In summary, there are three requirements if we want God to meet our needs;
1. We draw close to him so that we can hear his direction
2. We discover which brook (style of living) he wants to live
3. Stay connected to the people or ravines ( boss, friend, relative, etc) he is sending our help through.
The more we get better at this, the more we enjoy God's FULL SUPPLY.
