There can't be leadership without respect
I like the wiki definition for respect because it serves my purpose here.
a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.
Respect is when that person admired you from afar and wish he was like you or have what you have. He thinks that you are really good. He will be at your beck and call anytime. He is grateful for any little thing you do for him.
Herein is the most important advantages of respect shown, cooperation and trust. This works in the business and ministry. It allows for smooth sailing. This is why when people meet us at the beginning, everything works nicely.
That was respect in its diaper stages. As time elapses people change. Maybe they get hurt and can't forgive or stand you, I will live when I feel this way towards a person. However some people stay and hostility and hypocrisy comes to play.
People who show signs of disrespect should be watched. Soon they will fry you. Let me tell you something, to destroy things is easier. So when you feel big and you think they can't get you then you are playing with fire.
People who disrespect feel they can do what you do and have grown in strength. It's only a matter of time that they engineer your downfall. This happens in ministry, those who do this speak in tongues and prophesy too. So if you do business and they are there your case is worse.
I have learned one secret in life, that people who are angry with me and disrespectful often want to see my downfall. They plan for it meticulously and no matter their position in your life be it husband or wife or associate pastor, they will do the devils work for him.
PEOPLE WHO DISRESPECT YOU TODAY ARE POTENTIAL FUTURE ENEMIES.
What do you do?

Maintain your Dignity
Dignity will do for you what a blanket will do for you during cold weather.
Dignity is when we meet people for the few weeks or months or years and we respect ourselves. We comport ourselves and don't say or do certain things in front of them.
There are certain opinions we don't have to share but keep to ourselves. People are dishonest, they may tell you that it is your opinion but they have marked you for destruction.
Certain dresses and friends should be hidden. Not everyone is open minded like you or share in your weakness. Don't go and sing your problems to everyone.
Better remain a god in the eyes of people for the work of God to go on.
My friend, don't say you have known him for years so you will show him everything. You remember how Hezekiah showed his friend all his possessions and his friend joined the enemy and came for everything the following year.
Become an Enigma
This advise is important, don't show people everything.
You have a competitive advantage. It simply means that which set you apart and makes your special or unique. People will gravitate towards you because of that. But if you give it to people they won't need you anymore! This is why churches have split into two and the head pastor has gone down, great companies have collapsed because of this.
Let me put this in caps IF PEOPLE CAN DISPOSE YOU OFF THEY WILL WITHOUT THE SLIGHTEST NOTICE TO YOU. THEY DO IT WHEN THEY FEEL YOU HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER.
Elijah never gave his mantle to Elisha till he was living post and it was same with Moses and Joshua.
At the work place keep certain things to yourself and you will keep your job. keep your files and documents away, not everything should be explained. Don't release your password to people nor let your fiancee get close to certain friends. If Joseph reaches the people to interpret dreams like him, when the opportunity comes they will steal it.
You are boss as long as you know how to walk well in these suggestions.
