But the people that do know their
God shall be strong and do exploits. Daniel 11:32
In this New Year we shall not
achieve anything if we are struggling to do it. We must not struggle for
anything because Jesus never struggled for anything; we are like him. We are
not going to get anywhere through struggling. Struggling and cruising to
success are two different things. If the world is struggling to survive we are
to demonstrate as children of God. As a matter of fact no one should have it
easy like us judging from what Jesus came to do for us. The first Adam brought
struggles to us but the second Adam brought exploits to us.
When I talk of things been easy
or cheap for us am not bluffing. In Judges the strong rope that was used to tie
Samson was not a joke, it was really prepared for him. That rope was really
hard and it could have been used to pull a car. But it became like common flax
when the anointing settled on Samson so that he tore it easily. So you see,
what we say is cheap or easy for us is an impossible situation by human
standards. But because we are operating from the divine dimension it is cheap
for us.
It is easy because for us because
of the Holy Spirit within us. Scripture says it is not by power nor by might
but by the Spirit of God. That is the strength of the believer. So for me, in
this New Year am not going to struggle to do a single thing because am going to
engage the services of the Spirit of God. I have Him because the bible says ‘he
that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit’. This implies that my spirit is the
same as the Holy Spirit. What’s more, in
Ephesians ‘we should be to His praise and glory’! It is common for us to look
at the children and give respect to the man who takes care of them! Our lives
are an affirmation of Gods glory! We have no choice but to shine and shine! So he
made it easy! Having this understanding releases the operation of God in my
life!
The concept of struggling to make
it is a dead horse we must not ride. If you are struggling to do anything then
it is your fault. Yes, because Jesus said ‘for my yoke is easy and my burden is
light’. God is not a task master like pharaoh who made the Israelites work to
the breaking of their bones. When he said cast your burdens upon Him you are
still carrying a burden?

Our main text here says, ‘for the
people who know their God’. There is the pinnacle of the Christian life. It is
the lever which determines the conquerors achievements. For us believers, our strength
comes from our spiritual knowledge, thus our knowledge of God. This is a fact. In
Strong’s Hebrew and Greek dictionary the word ‘know’ connotes recognizing or of
a certainty or comprehend! Thus it is used inferentially. For instance, when
you recognize the power the implication of your one thousand Ghana Cedis you
are able cash in on it fully. Oh how we need to have the full comprehension! We
need to have the full impact of what it means to have God in our lives.
You exploits is not because you can pray or do other
things, but by reason of your knowledge of God. Paul saw this and he was so
enthused by it that he called his achievements dung ‘that I may know him’!
Why? Because for us believers that is
the beginning to our unprecedented performances; this is what led to Paul’s
famous prayer, ‘Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my
prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and
revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches
of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to
us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,!’ Eph 1:16 -19
The knowing point is different
from head knowledge. It is a revelation of the word in your spirit. Since we
worship and serve God in our Spirit that is where everything happens. That is where
the battle is fought and won. For instance, I know that the Lord has called me
because I have had confirmation in my spirit. I have fought it for several
years till I couldn’t fight it anymore. This is a ‘knowing’ and as far as am
concerned it is a fact. It is real to me like the bricks I touch! When the word
which is a spirit is real to you this way that is when your victory starts. This
happens only when the Holy Spirit reveals the word to your heart. Everybody will
confess ‘he became poor for me, so I cannot be poor’ and yet one will have
miracles and the other will not. The difference is the revelation in your
spirit. We have to pray and ask God to reveal his word to hearts! Lets draw an
analogy here. Look at the men of God these days, especially those who do ‘word’
and those who do ‘prayer’. You will see that those who base their ministry on teaching
the word of God as their core are more successful! The word is the key!
In summary, we have to see it,
believe it, confess it and enforce it! Let the Lord open the ‘eyes of your
understanding’ and you will believe. Then you have to confess it and when you
have a challenge don’t back down but enforce it! When you face a situation of financial
hardship kick it out with the word of God and prayer! When it is time to give,
do it believing that you are rich and trusting the Lord this way, your miracle
will happen.
